Want 2 know more abt The Lost World of Sabah?.
We went to Maliau Basin by 4X4, which cost us RM 1200 (Twu-Maliau Basin-Tawau). The journey took abt 2 1/2 hr ( separuh dari masa yang sepatutnya). Thought I was not too much if i said the driver was from hell. This was because, he was speeding and driving like crazy! Pantang ada kenderaan depan, gerenti dipotongnya mcm dlm movie "Taxi". Setiap kali kami ketakutan, kami akan memandang sesama sendiri. Nasib baiklah umur kami masih panjang. Dah lah kami ni tak kahwin lagi. Nanti tak pasal2, accident. Byk lagi benda belum buat tau!.
On the hammock @Agathis Camp
Before reaching Agathis Camp, we stopped at Shell Maliau Basin Reception & Information Building for lunch. My lunch was Ox tail soup & rice which cost me RM 8/=. Sedap oooo...Kira berbaloilah memandangkan jarak dengan bandar terdekat mengambil masa perjalanan 4-5 jam dgn jalan raya yang tak berturap.
Day 2 Bahagian ini memerlukan sedikit ilmu sihir untuk membolehkan anda membaca isi tersirat. Hint: Left click dan drag after this. I ate a lot during breakfast for the sake of ENERGY SUPPLY. Bak kata renger, the trek took about 12 hours to Naphenthis Camp, Giluk and Takob Akob waterfalls. Uhhh!!!! Seramnya dengar12 jam jalan kaki. Thought they were joking. But never mind because I'm a survivor, I'm gonna make it, I'm a survivor, Keep on surviving ( singing as if Beyonce in Survivor video clip ). But I was completely wrong! Just 15 minutes, after climbing 45 degree terrain, oh...my visibility became poor. It turned dark, bright, dark, bright and my body became cooled. This was the early sign that soon i'd be fainted. The ranger said my face even white as a corpse. Hahahaha. Stopped to take a breath, the simptom dissapear. But after the simptom came again and again, at last I vomitted twice and 'melabur' at the back of a giant tree. Hahaha. Posisi mencangkung kena berhati-hati kerana takut pacat merayap naik. I was even stronger than before. U better believe it!
Corridor of memories @ Nephentis Camp
Sblm sampai kat Naphenthis camp, kami nampak sesuatu sedang bergerak2 disebalik semak.
Rest abt 1 hour, then we proceed to the jungle. We needed to choose whether Giluk or Takob Akob waterfalls. Giluk was nearer but not as captivate as Takob Akob. Why we weren't choosing Takob Akob?. Because our energy reached empty level. Poor us...Giluk pun Giluk la...
A little bit of history abt Naphenthis Camp: Originally, it was called Camel Trophy camp but years after that, the name changed because a lot of Naphenthis a.k.a Periuk Kera (Pitcher Plant) lived around here. All 6 species lived here. This camp was built only in 48 hours by tall, muscular and kind-hearted caucasian volunteers.
Day 3 ( No photo- out of battery. Sorry for the inconvenient caused ).
Before checked-out from Nephentis Camp and headed to Maliau Fall, I did what I didn't yesterday. Tried to 'eliminate' the stubborn toxic waste out of my body. I tried very hard till my face turned red, but the result, what a dissapoinment!. Tak dapek nak keluar. Hahaha. What a scenery along the trail. I love it. There were places like in the Lord Of The Ring, many species of Nepenthis and wild orchids could be seen.
Stopped for a moment at the Lobah Camp to refill our water. Lobah Camp was not used anymore, damaged due to pokok rebah. The water straightly taken from the tank-not even boiled (Luckily I'm still alive until today to tell U this). Reaching Lobah meant that we had another half way to the Maliau Fall. Because Lobah was the highest point along the rim, U can see the curve and the shape of basin during clear day.
To make the story short, after hours trekking, finally we reached Maliau fall. It has 7 tiers and the beauty of this fall frequently became the cover of Sabah Nature Club magazine. Hahaha.
Bla..bla..bla...Checked-in MBSC. So surprised, overwhelmed and extremely excited now we stayed at proper 'room'. The hostel could occupied up to 32 people but this time, hostel yang besar itu kami dua yang punya. Bebas nak buat apa bila berdua ja. Air paip pun kurang sejuk jadi dapatlah mandi sebersih2nya.
Hint: Left click dan drag after this.
We did bird watching after having breakfast and checked-out of MBSC. Thank you to all workers of MBSC especially to our rengers, Adi and Ijan for the hospitality. Bye...

Nasib si Jalaludin ada selamatkan kau ... kalau tidak mesti kena buat mouth to mouth CPR huuhu
Byk la ko. Hahaha. Masa tu aku belum ada lesen diving. Kalu Jalaludin, aku masih rela lagi. Kalu Kapt. Kamal yg buat CPR, ko fikirlah sendiri...
